Preparation is the key

It pays to always be ready or prepared especially in unexpected situations, right? Being caught unaware is not good at all. Preparation is the key. Insurance can be renamed as preparation. When you have everything in place, you have nothing to worry about. You sleep at peace knowing that if things that you do not want to happen are in front of you, it will be taken care of.

Almost everything nowadays can be insured. It is necessary that we get car insurance, home insurance and the like. After all, those are valuable assets and cost a lot of money to have. It is not everyday that you can buy a vehicle or a house.

When you get car insurance, you should put into mind possible scenarios like an accident perhaps or theft. Since the car is always on the road, accidents really happen. Sometimes, you might encounter it when you do not expect it at the very least. Just like my friend, he woke up one morning that the car windows were all broken and the car was parked at his open garage. Comprehensive car insurance is the best covering against theft and accident. You could also go for insurance with more affordable rates but it will only cover against accident or theft and not both. You can check on a Third party, fire, and theft insurance. Then there is also the Simple third party insurance.

For your auto insurance needs, you can get it from Advantageautoquotes.com. Get a quote and see what the best insurance for you is.

School hopping

School hopping.
What are the factors that you consider when you are looking for school?

1. Quality of education
2. school location and environment
3. number of students
4. room ventilation
Did I miss anything? Oh, the cost, of course! All kinds of fees. Tuition fee, miscellaneous, uniform, books, and all other fees. Education is really big business. My son at 4 1/2 should go to school already and we went school hopping last Tuesday. There are only three better schools in our area so we did not have a hard time finding one for him.

Find the best one

My skin type is oily and that would only mean that it has larger pores compared to a dry or normal skin. Lately, I have been experiencing daily breakouts maybe because of stress and late nights. We also moved to a new place wherein the mode of transportation is by riding a jeepney and no air-conditioning. Imagine that! My face is exposed to all the dust for at least two hours a day. I admit I have many pimples right now and my face appears shiny most of the time. I just hope that it will not develop to acne.

You might think why I am afraid of acne. Who does not? Though there are already many Acne Products in the market today that promise cure, how can we be so sure? How do we choose an Acne Product? Most of them contain ingredients that may even be more harmful than a treatment. I know someone that despite all the products that she put in her face, there was no difference. At times, it gets worse. That is depressing.

I think that if we are to seek treatment, we should find the Best Acne Products. How do we do that? First, consult a dermatologist and do not jump in and get any product that you see. Know if it will be good for your type of skin. Read the label and know the ingredients or composition of what inside that bottle or tube.

Acne might not be totally treated but at least it could be manage. It might leave some scars but of course, that could also be hidden. Daily hygiene and following the regimen religiously is also important.

Financially healthy again

I have mentioned in one of my posts that my friend is actually indebted because of credit cards. I am not against the use of it but management is the key. I actually am maintaining at least three of them right now.

I am sure that most of you do get credit cards offers too! As long as you have a job, banks will even send you a pre-approved credit card ready for use. It is tempting, isn’t it? Nevertheless, you should not give in to that. It pays to study your options first. Better if you will get a credit card that has a low interest rate or none at all for certain purchases. If you think that you will be a heavy user, then you might want to look at those that offer great rewards and loyalty items in return. It is really helpful at times to get that plastic. You just have to know when, where and how to use it. Just like money, spend it wisely.

Do you want to know where to get information about these? You can log on to http://www.badcreditoffers.com/. They do not just provide reviews of credit cards but also of home loans and auto loans available. Much more, they have offers for those who have bad credit standing. I think, I should tell my friend about this. Maybe this could help her be financially healthy again.

The BlogBlast For Peace Meme ~ Join The Revolution

I would like to thank Sandee for this meme.

Mimi, the QUEEN of meme's, the creator of The Peace Globes, the author of BlogBlast for Peace has come up with a brilliant idea. She is treating her Peace Globes as a meme to spread this wonderful event. I'm going to jump on board and I challenge you to copy and paste this meme on your site and tag absolutely everyone in the blogosphere. Here's what Mimi has to say:

Peace Globes did not begin as a meme. But it began to behave like a meme. Blog to blog to blog. Like a fog. We didn't use the word "tag" ....but that's what we did when we invited others in our blogrolls to participate. The fact that you did so without the obligatory tag is proof that the concept is powerful.

It's a fact that the fastest and most effective way to spiral an idea out of control in the blogosphere is via a meme. I should know! The 700+ bloggers who participated in past launches (and that truly is the tip of The-Iceberg-I-Never-Found) knows what it means to them. It's about unity. We have that in spades. It's about activism, awareness, crossing political lines, making a statement and sharing ideas. We've done that. We have the vision as a core group of bloggers for peace; but we do not - yet - have the power in numbers behind the message.

BlogBlast For Peace Meme ~ Join The Revolution

Here are the rules and the story. Copy this into a post and tag as many people as you'd like.

The Peace Globe project began in the fall of 2006 with a simple post from one blog, Mimi Writes. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. The passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog to blog across the globe. Bloggers wrote passionate articles on what peace means to them, along with the promise of three Latin words scribbled on a globe - Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace) - branded with the integrity of their names or blog names. It was positively inspiring to watch. And it began to happen all over the world - from Singapore to China to Afghanistan to Brooklyn.

It was simple. And powerful.

In less than two weeks bloggers from all
across the globe will blog for peace.
We will speak with one voice. One subject. One day.
Won't you join us?

Mailboxes

I remembered when I was a kid and I was at my aunt’s place. Their gate has a mailbox. Before, I do not understand what that is for though almost all of the houses in their subdivision have Mailboxes. They are not uniform though. Each has a different design. My aunt’s was just a simple one. Others have beautiful styles and quite sturdy to look at. Some are made of steel incorporated with their gates. Some has the wooden type. A Mailbox with a stand adds to the beauty of the frontage. There are also Mail boxes that are installed at posts. That was how I see a mailbox before.

I know now the importance of a Mail box. That is a drop box for bills and letters. It is necessary especially we do not stay in our houses all the time, right? I am working for a telecommunications company and we receive concerns of unreceived bills. If only they have a mailbox, then maybe the messenger could have just put it there.

There is also a non-residential type of mailbox. It is a must for companies because most of the time, the guard on duty can misplace the letters or bills.

If you would like to get a mailbox of your own, log on to http://www.mailboxixchange.com. You could also refer someone and earn commissions through their affiliate program.

America Loves DC

America Loves DC! No, not Washington DC nor the White House. It is David Cook! So, he won! America loved what you cooked David and I think all of your other "dishes" to come.

The moment that Simon apologized to David Cook, I knew it that he is the winner! Actually, the 56 to 44, (was that right) ratio was really still thinkable who would have won until the final announcement.

As I have mentioned in my previous posts, I thought David Cook would win but small David's performance last night put some doubts in my mind. The younger fellow really did well, did he not?

Now that A.I. season 7 is over for me...well, I will not be able to watch their tours because of geographical reasons... I will just have to wait for season 8! I might try watching the replay telecast on Sunday though.

Congratulations, Cookie! That's my friend 's term of endearment to him!

Why LifeLock?

All of us value our names. We take care of it actually. We do not like anyone try destroying it in any way. Our name is our identity. Your name is you. In any first meeting, what is being asked? You are being asked to introduce yourself and agree with me that when a certain name rings a bell or popular, an impression to that person is already created even without knowing him. Our identity is then like a treasure that should be guarded always. Just like our home whenever we are about to sleep in the night or we are to leave the house, we lock it. How much more our life? We should have lifelock.

Like a thief in the night, identity robbers also have their ways to grab you of your identity! You will just get the surprise of your life when that happens. Why allow it in the first place when you could avail of a life lock? Check out their site and get discounts by enrolling at the available lifelock promo codes. Your enrollment at the program is guaranteed up to $1,000,000 so there is nothing to lose but much to gain.

Why LifeLock? It is necessary that we protect our identity. Let LifeLock do it for you.

What did you cook David?

It was the American Idol Finals and I was very excited. Thank God, it was my rest day. I was able to watch it comfortably at our living room.

I was waiting for David Cook’s shining moments. You know good songs that “everyone” can relate to or would like to listen to. But what did you cook David? I was not totally disappointed because he sang his songs well but there was nothing new I guess with what he did. Playing with the guitar and rocking it out. He looked like more of a singer guest than a contestant fighting for that big amount of money and a road to STARDOM.

Here are the reasons/lines that David said during the interviews before and after each round:

1. Why do something that he already did? - Simon told him that he could have sung one of his best performances before.

2. It is a progression.

3. He can sing the song that he wanted to sing

4. I am happy. I am in front of millions of people

Let us see if the A.I. fans all over the world liked what David cooked.

Light Up My World

I love shopping for decorative lamps. They are very good to look at with those different designs. I think almost all houses have lamps. Why not? Its purpose is not just to accentuate the beauty of a living room or your dining area but also to really give light. There are actually many different kinds. There are, floor lamps, desk lamps and others. The one that you usually see in bedrooms are table lamps. They are perfect for reading before going to sleep, right?

Another reason why I like lamps is because I think it can give me savings. It consumes less electricity compared to lighting up the whole house. I always like a little amount of light even if I am already sleeping. It gives me a sense of security. With a lamp on, I feel safer and it gives a cozy look to the room, doesn’t it?

Oh, now I would like to go online and look for those lamps and lamp shades again! I might need more of them for our second floor. How about torchieres along the hallway? That will be very nice!

David versus Goliath

But they are two Davids! Who is Goliath, then? Yes, I am talking about David Archuleta and David Cook. Come to think of it, they are also like Peter Pan and Captain Hook, aren’t they?

From the very beginning, I knew it that David Archuleta will make it to the finals. David Cook was sort of a late bloomer. I only noticed him during the Mariah Carey episode. I think that Michael Johns was also a contender before. David Cook grew from one episode to another proving himself that he should be the next American Idol. I am sure though that he cannot be so sure about it. The younger David has a follower too. I watched the Season 7 marathon and David A.’s very first performance was a blast. The kid could also sing any song. He is superb doing love songs, though. And for David C., his rock and roll style is becoming predictable. Mellow at the start of the song, then becoming faster, then the belting…shouting of the notes...and the word Yeah…in the end.

I can’t wait until Tuesday or Wednesday? I hope the provider here will air the A.I. Finals live just like last year.

Successful harassment

I really could not believe how collection agencies can sleep at night with the dirty tactics that they are applying just to call the attention of those who could not pay yet their amount dues. My friend called me up yesterday crying because a police officer dropped by at their house apparently as a favor for a certain fiscal. She was told to call the fiscal right away because of a supposed pending case. She was afraid and was rattled. Most of all humiliated because the police officer asked their neighbors where to find her. She called the supposed fiscal and she was just told that if she wants the supposed case not to be pursued, she has to call a certain lawyer. It was a very long story, actually. But then again, I thought, why will a police officer let himself be used by the collection agency? I told her to report the incident to the bank and to the superior of that supposed to be SPO2. Yes, he came in uniform.

I do not agree that we should not pay our credit card debts bit I also understand that someone can go through hard times and set his priorities first. My friend is willing to pay. She is just asking for more time.

Value of Life Lock

Have you been a victim of identity theft? How about receiving a credit card that you did not apply for? You must think ahead when that happens! How can you have that if you did not sign anything? How did they know your office or home address for that matter? Most of all, why would they approve you for something that usually needs financial documents and an application form to fill out? Then you should enroll in Life Lock. So, what is the value of life lock? All of the above mentioned can be avoided if you enroll at this program.

There are actually many identity theft programs available. If you want, read about a lifelock review first so that you can be convinced before jumping into it. Better yet, why don’t you take an identity theft quiz at their website? There you will see that there is really a need for lifelock. It will also teach you practical ways on how to guard your identity on your own. Do you know that even throwing of unopened bills with your name and address on it can be an opportunity for those identity robbers? Yes, it pays to shred those papers. How about receipts where your card number can be seen? Worst case if you lost your wallet bearing all your important IDs.Let lifelock protect you and be free of any of those worries.

To serve others

I want to become a doctor. That is one of the usual answers when you ask a child what he would like to become when he grows up. The reason? To serve others. As someone grows older, he gets to realize that not everyone can be a doctor. However, it does not mean that he should lose hope in serving others or work in a hospital. There are actually lots of medical courses to choose from. He might want to check out ultrasound schools, nursing schools, physical therapy schools and the like.

If he would like to work hand in hand with a doctor, say and obstetrician perhaps, then there are many sonography schools that he can choose from. Why a sonography school? Because he can be an ultrasound technician! I had been into an ultrasound procedure and an ultrasound technician had been most helpful. I heard that they are well compensated too.

I know that the doodle week is over but I really wanted to share this drawing of my son. Pretty neat, isn’t it? He loves PAINT! Thank you to the one who invented this. What really amazes me is my child’s imagination. You know, we just came from a toy store and what he drew somehow looks like the one that he saw there. Yes, including the colors! Well done, son!

Have you been dropping lately? LOL! It was the article of Mo of Manic Monday that inspired me to join Entrecard. I signed up two days ago if I am not mistaken and from then on, I have been doing my drop rounds. I am not a serious one though. I am not into full blogging yet. You know, I have to work to live and be the busy bee as ever.

Anyways, I would like to thank everyone who has been dropping by this humble blog like Sandee . I really appreciate it.

See more of me in your dashboard, folks!

Approved!

Yes, I signed up for Bloggerwave at http://www.bloggerwave.com ! They are the first one to approve my blog. I will just try to make some money. I am planning to save it for the construction of the second floor of our house by December. I hope that they will give me more jobs to write about. You can join too and become a part of the Bloggerwave family!

The next commander in chief?

I have been to many sites that have been posting about Obama and Clinton. I recently read in the news that Clinton won it in West Virginia gaining more than 70% of the votes. It will really be a big thing for America to have a first woman president, right? Is the TV show “Commander in Chief “starring Gena Davis, quite a campaign for Hilary also? I just thought about it.

Even though I am from the Philippines, who would be the next US President, I think will affect the Filipinos and our country as a whole. Besides the fact that there are already many of us who are living in the States (as we call it), lots would still love to go there for greener pasture.

Yeah, I would love to fly there too!

Why older men?

Patrick Dempsey

Have you ever wondered why women fall for older men? During high school, I had a classmate who was then 16 years old and she had a boyfriend who was twice her age. Since we were still young and immature, we misjudged her and looked at it somehow as misconduct. Now that we are all matured individuals, we understand and see for ourselves that older men are quite more attractive than younger ones. Besides the stability in many aspects of life be it financial, emotional and others… I think, older men are also better looking.

Do you agree?

I hope that when I grow older, I will be as good looking!

Google makes me giggle!

Page rank is obsessing. I must admit that I so wanted my blog to have some PR. Some of my friends’ blogs have it. Google, I guess, recently have updated its rankings and my blog is lucky to have a rank of 3/10. Yeah, I am happy and it made me giggle after finding out. Thank you for noticing this humble blog of mine. One of my friends told me to enjoy it while it lasts. Is it true that when you blog for money, you will be punished and your page rank will be zero again? There are lots of sites though that have maintained their page ranks even if they are accepting payments for some articles. I noticed though that those blogs still have more personal posts than the paid ones. Maybe that is the secret?

I hope that if I join the wagon, my friends will stay. Yes, you are the one I am pertaining to! You are the most important .

Oh, Jason!

Jason Castro is one of the most refreshing faces American Idol has ever produced/ found. He's got the looks, his own style and total package. Sometimes, he should let go of his guitar though. How about his hair? Oh, it is already part of his image. He can sing too. He is just not the type to (shout)...belt out some notes. As he said in his interviews, he wanted to make a difference? Well, he made it to the top four even being in the middle of those big voices, right?

It is just that, it is still a singing competition, no matter what. That is why the better one and eventually the best one will emerge as the winner.

Now, it is nearing the finals. Who are you for? David A. or David C. ?

Heads or Tails- Mother

[button4.gif]

Mothers day

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers on May 11, 2008. That is when it is being celebrated in the Philippines every second Sunday of May. I guess in the whole world too, right? So, have you thought or bought a gift for your mothers- biological and mother-in-law, wife-(hope you have only one, LOL!), daughters that are mothers already. Friends. Whew! Mother’s day, just like any occasion is a great day for business, isn’t it? However, more than the material things to show our love and affection, may we appreciate the value of the female population each day of our lives.

Dads out there, I will say/write it too come Father’s day!

It is a Monday morning and I hope that everyone woke up refreshed from a good night sleep.

Another week is here and let us all have a fresh start.

What a way to do it by joining Manic Monday!

Have a great week ahead 'ya all!
